How BitPolaris compares.
Against the three routes operators usually consider: an open-source exchange kit, a typical white-label vendor, and building in-house. Categories, not named competitors; verify any vendor’s claims the way you would ours: on a live system.
| BitPolaris | Open-source kit | Typical white-label | Build in-house | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Proven in production | Runs a public exchange today; the same code you license | Varies; often demo-grade forks | Usually yes, rarely inspectable | No, until you ship it |
| Liquidity | Mirror engine: 97 markets, no inventory parked, fills hedged | Bring your own market makers and capital | Shared order-book liquidity with vendor fees and counterparty risk | Your capital or a third-party MM |
| Native apps | iOS and Android, published; wallet app | Web only or community apps | Often web wrappers | 6–12 months extra |
| Operations | 53-screen admin, Mirror/Earn/Rewards consoles, live support | Minimal admin; build the rest | Vendor-operated; limited access | Build everything |
| Custody | Own layer, 9 chains, policy engine, reserve monitor; self-hosted | Hot wallets; custody is your problem | Vendor holds keys in most cases | Hire a custody team |
| Compliance file | Technical file, DORA mapping, travel rule, dual KYC | None | Partial | Write it yourself |
| Deployment | Cloud, self-hosted or full source | Self-hosted | Vendor cloud only | Yours |
| Time to launch | 5 weeks | 6–12 months with a team | 3–6 months | 12–24 months |
| Year-one cost (Exchange) | €24.5k licence + support, or €1,600/mo cloud | Engineering team ≥ €300k | €50–150k setup + revenue share | €1M+ |
| Exit | Perpetual licence; source option; data export | Yours | Locked to vendor cloud | Yours |
Open-source and in-house figures are typical ranges from public job-market and vendor data; white-label figures from published price lists. Correct us if your experience differs.

Honest limits.
Derivatives
Spot only. No perpetuals or options engine; if that is your core product, we are not the fit today.
Self-custody wallets
The wallet is custodial by design. Non-custodial key management is not on the roadmap.
US market
No US licensing experience; we work with EU, Türkiye, GCC, Switzerland and UK regimes.
Cloud custody
The Custody block is self-hosted only. If you want a vendor to hold keys, look elsewhere.
