Choose HollaEx if

you have an engineering team, want to start from open source at zero licence cost, and are prepared to build apps, custody policy, operations tooling and the compliance file yourselves.

Choose BitPolaris if

you want the open-source advantages (self-hosting, no lock-in, source available) without the year of productionising: apps already in the stores, custody with policy and reserve monitor, 53-screen admin, compliance file, five weeks.

Questions buyers ask

Before you decide.

Is open source cheaper?

The licence is free; production is not. Budget a team for 6–12 months for apps, custody, operations and compliance documentation. BitPolaris source licence is €58,100 with those pieces included.

Do I lose control with a licence?

No. Self-hosted and source deployments are yours to run and modify; the licence is perpetual.

What about liquidity?

Open-source kits leave liquidity to you. The Mirror engine quotes 97 markets from reference venues and hedges each fill; the cost floor is enforced per market.

Can I migrate later?

From any kit to BitPolaris: user and balance import, address re-issue with a sweep plan, typically four weeks alongside the standard delivery.

Evaluate on a live system, not a deck.

Trade on the testnet, pay a demo invoice, tour the console. Then ask both vendors the same questions.
